Electric forklifts offer numerous advantages in terms of efficiency and environmental-friendliness. However, like any machinery, they can experience technical issues from time to time. Promptly identifying and addressing these problems is crucial to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime. In this blog post, we will delve into the common electric forklift issues and provide a comprehensive guide for troubleshooting.
Abnormal phenomenon: the whole vehicle cannot be powered on
Possible reasons: the emergency stop of the vehicle is pressed, the discharge connector is not in place or loose, the key switch of the vehicle is damaged
Solution:
If the emergency stop of the whole vehicle is pressed, it is necessary to perform rotation emergency stop recovery.
If the discharge connector is not inserted in place or is loose, the connector needs to be installed in place.
If the key switch of the whole vehicle is damaged, the key switch needs to be replaced.
Abnormal phenomenon: can not charge
Possible reasons: the charging cable is not inserted in place or the charger is not connected to the power supply, the traction battery is fully charged, the temperature of the traction battery is too low or too high, the charger or the vehicle displays a fault.
Solution:
If the charging cable is not inserted in place or the charger is not powered on, you need to re-plug the charging cable to ensure that the charger is powered on.
If the power battery is fully charged, charging will stop automatically, and no additional processing is required at this time.
If the temperature of the power battery is lower than -30°C or higher than 65°C, it is necessary to allow the power battery to heat or cool down before charging, put the vehicle in an environment with a suitable temperature, and wait for the temperature to return to normal before charging.
If the charger or the vehicle shows a fault, such as the power battery system fault light is on or the charging system fault prompt, or the charger shows a fault, it is recommended to stop charging, and then contact an authorized professional for repair.
