What Is a 40 Ton Crawler Excavator?
A 40 ton crawler excavator is a heavy hydraulic excavator designed for large earthmoving, foundation excavation, trenching, mining support and infrastructure construction. Its tracked undercarriage provides a stable operating base for work on uneven terrain and demanding construction sites.
This weight class provides greater bucket capacity, hydraulic output and working capability than medium-size excavators. It is commonly selected for projects that require high-volume excavation, deeper digging and material loading over extended operating periods.

1. 216 kW Cummins QSM11 Engine
The RTX400 uses a Cummins QSM11 engine rated at 216 kW at 2100 r/min. This power output supports excavation, hydraulic operation, swing functions and travel for heavy construction and earthmoving applications.
